Frequently Asked Questions

Are my pictures posted on the internet?
The previewing and ordering of Picture Prints is done through the internet.  Your session photographs are kept in a Password Protected album at our print processor for your security and convenience.  To visit your album at our print processor, go to http://pictures.goldwingphoto.com/ and select your album.  The password will be your last name with Proper Case and spaces where appropriate.

What if I don't want the pictures on the internet?
Be assured your pictures are safe, but if you prefer to preview your pictures in print, Contact sheets can be printed containing 12 pictures per sheet.  An extra cost applies for contact sheets, check our pricing page for the current contact sheet cost.  The contact sheets will contain picture numbers for reference when ordering prints or digital images.

How many outfits can I wear for my photography session?
Your session includes as many wardrobe changes and poses that you wish, within your allotted time frame.  If more time is needed during the session, check with your photographer for expanding the end time.  An additional fee may apply at the same hourly rate as scheduled.

What deposit is needed to schedule my session?
A 50% deposit of the planned service fee is required to reserve the date for your session. The remaining balance is due at the session or can be prepaid.  A $20 cancellation fee applies if canceled less than ten calendar days prior to the scheduled session.  Prices under contract are guaranteed up to 30 days after the scheduled appointment; otherwise prices are subject to change without notice.

Do you charge Travel fees or other expenses?
Travel fees may apply depending on your location.  If your location is more than 25 miles from the south-end of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, you may be charged a small travel fee to help cover tolls and miles.  If applicable, you will be advised with the price quote and availability information.

How should I prepare for my photography session?
Select a few outfits that you would like to wear and consider the types of poses you prefer.  Try to make up your hair and cosmetics before the photographer arrives.  You can change into your first outfit while the lighting and backdrop are setup, if applicable.  Most importantly, be sure to get a good night's sleep before your photography session and drink plenty of water.  Being well rested, hydrated, and stress free helps keeps you comfortable and ensures the best portraits.

Why do you need a copy of my Photo ID?
United States Law (Title 18, Section 2257) requires that proof of age be obtained for all subjects which pose nude, partially nude, or sexually suggestive.  A copy of your government issued identification (drivers license, state or federal photo ID) will be kept on file indefinitely.  This information is kept confidential.

Who owns the copyright of the pictures?
Silverwing Photography retains the copyright of all photographs taken during sessions or events.  As the subject model, you are permitted to reproduce your purchased photographs at-will, royalty-free provided you do not profit or charge for the prints or product in which the image is printed.

What is a Photo Release?
Models may choose to allow us to feature some or all of their pictures on our web-page and portfolio, in promotion or trade use.  In these cases a contractual agreement is established providing respective sessions and pictures discounted or free of charge in exchange for the release of photographs.
